Drop files here or click to upload
Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP
How to use
- 1Click the upload area or drag and drop your JPG, PNG or WebP files into it. You can pick multiple images at once.
- 2Adjust the quality slider. Lower values produce smaller files; the default of 70% works well for most photos.
- 3Wait a moment for compression to finish. Each image is processed in a Web Worker so the UI stays responsive.
- 4Click Download on a single image, or use Download all to save every compressed file.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Compression runs entirely in your browser using browser-image-compression. Your files never leave your device, so there is nothing to leak.
What file formats are supported?
JPG, PNG and WebP. Output keeps the same format as the input by default.
How much smaller will my images get?
It depends on the source, but most JPGs and WebP files shrink by 50-80%, and PNGs by 20-60% at the default quality setting. The summary bar shows the exact savings.
Is there a file size or count limit?
There is no enforced limit, but very large images (>50 MB) or huge batches may slow your browser down. We process files one at a time to avoid running out of memory.
Will compression hurt image quality?
All lossy compression discards some detail. The quality slider lets you balance file size and fidelity. For photos, 70% is usually indistinguishable from the original at normal viewing sizes.
