Frequently asked questions
Will the resize keep the aspect ratio?
Yes. We always scale uniformly so your image is not stretched or squashed. If you need to crop or change the aspect ratio, that's a different tool we'll add later.
Can I scale up an image?
Yes, but enlarging cannot invent detail that isn't there. The result will look soft. For best quality, only resize down.
What output format is used?
We keep the original format whenever possible. For PNG inputs the output is PNG; JPG and WebP inputs keep their format with a high-quality re-encode.
